Dr. Sam Shamardi is a clinician, educator, speaker, thought leader, and entrepreneur whose work sits at the intersection of clinical excellence, innovation, and strategic education in healthcare.

Dr. Shamardi is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and Implant Surgery and holds academic appointments as Clinical Faculty at the Harvard Division of Periodontics and Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Pennsylvania.
Clinically, Dr. Shamardi practices in Southern California with a focus on advanced periodontal and implant surgery, with particular emphasis on the oral–systemic connection. He serves as a member of the Renew Health medical team, where periodontal health is integrated into preventative strategies addressing systemic conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease and cardiovascular disease.
Dr. Shamardi currently serves on the Nobel Biocare Medical Board as Medical Director of Regeneration, where he contributes to clinical strategy, education, and innovation across global markets. He also serves on multiple advisory boards within the dental and healthcare industry.
As an international speaker, Dr. Shamardi lectures nationally and globally on topics including periodontics and implant surgery, hearing loss prevention in dentistry, clinical leadership, dental finance, laser therapy, and emerging technologies. He is a member of the Catapult Education Speakers Bureau, has authored multiple published articles, and serves as a key opinion leader for over a dozen dental and healthcare companies.
Beyond clinical practice and education, Dr. Shamardi is deeply committed to solving under-addressed challenges within the profession. His entrepreneurial work began with pioneering active hearing protection solutions to address noise-induced hearing loss in dentistry—bringing awareness and preventive technology to a historically overlooked occupational health issue.
This work has since evolved into his current role as Chief Dental Officer of Finally Quiet, an AI-driven, venture-backed company developing patented, medical-grade hearing protection and communication technology specifically for dentistry and other high-noise clinical environments. He is also a strong advocate for financial literacy among early-career clinicians and is the author of The Financial Survival Guide for Dentists, continuing to work with universities and corporate partners to better prepare clinicians for long-term professional and personal success.
In his spare time, Dr. Shamardi loves to travel and support his favorite team, Real Madrid.

As a practicing full-time clinician, I'm aware of the daily challenges we face both from a business & patient standpoint. My goal is to provide resources from my own experiences that will help answer questions and provide meaningful solutions to a myriad of concerns. I hope you find these resources helpful!

The critical role of a dental hygienist within any practice cannot be underestimated, and the health and physical effects faced are no different than their dentist colleagues. It is my goal to help educate the hygiene community on all aspects of periodontal diagnosis and treatment planning.

Continuing education remains an essential tool and requirement in our careers. Whether within periodontics, systemic health, ergonomics or noise-induced hearing loss, I have strived to provide essential content that can be implemented immediately and result in meaningful change to your daily practice.

Nothing is more frustrating than finishing your dental education to find you are totally unprepared for the business aspect of practice in the real world. This pressure is enhanced considering our significant student debt and lack of financial and business management training. Learn how my book can help!

More than just protection, EarAID™ earpieces allow you to easily communicate at normal office audio levels while protecting your ears from decibels that could cause permanent hearing damage. EarAID™ is meant specifically for the dental industry to address the dangers of Noise-Induced Hearing Loss.

I travel conducting both online and in person continuing education seminars that aim to teach you everything you need to be a successful dental professional. This includes the business & clinical skills you might have missed in school. Discover my upcoming seminars, webinars, and other events I will be attending.
